Sting is the outcome of a design process that pays special attention to the opportunities opened up by modern manufacturing techniques. The result is an unusual solution to the challenge of designing a regular chair. The seat and backrest of Sting are made of aluminium that is extruded in lengths of up to 60 metres. These long extrusions are subsequently divided and anodised to become the seats and backs of Sting chairs. The join between the seat and backrest sections is virtually invisible. No screws are needed: the stainless steel legs give the frame the rigidity it needs and lock the entire construction securely in place.
Available with upholstery in polyurethane, leather-covered seat, different sizes of seat pads, armrests, linking devices, and folding/removable writing tablet. A trolley for storing/moving up to 50 Sting chairs is also available. Sting is also available as a bench.
