Papa

Year: 1997
Manufacturer: Essem Design

This was my first-ever work to enter production. After joinery training I took a one-year course in furniture restoration. I needed some hooks at home so I contacted an aluminium foundry to make some casts of a pattern I had made in wood. They liked the design and wanted to produce and sell the product.

Originally the hook was somewhat larger and also intended for horizontal use as a curtain hook. These days it's sold exclusively as a clothes hook for places where you might want to hang several garments.
